Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope that you and your families had a wonderful summer break! As we prepare for the 2023-2024 school year, we would like to share some information with you about the first day of school which is Wednesday, September 6th. Please note that you can check out information about our school as well as upcoming events on the Quincy Public Schools website.
Students in grades 5 and 6 are to report out front on the first day of school and will be greeted by their teacher’s, while grades 7 and 8 will line-up on the new turf field and will be arranged by homerooms to enter the building. Please note that the first day of school is an Early Release Day for grade 5 only and that grade 5 students, parents and guardians are invited to orientation on Tuesday, September 5th at 1 pm.
All students will receive a first day of school packet to bring home to parents and guardians. We ask that you please sign the appropriate forms and have your child return them to their homeroom teacher. I’ve also attached the 2023-2024 school calendar to this email for planning purposes.
Lastly, many students have been looking on Aspen to see their schedules for next year. We will continue to make adjustments to them and schedules may change prior to the start of school. All schedules will be in place prior to first day of school and will be included with their pick up items.
